Project: The Big Red Shed

When: 2020 – 2021
To expand the facilities to the community available at 82 Grimsby Road, a Super Shed has been recently constructed.
Now finished, the Shed will provide a space in which members of the community can get busy with projects that might interest them. These could include things like:
Crafting, General woodwork, Mending and Repair, Up-cycling or Repurposing
Or more. The space will be safe, secure, well equipped and bookable by the community.
The shed will be there for the use of individuals and groups on a bookable basis and we are hoping that volunteers will eventually take over its management and extend its uses beyond the ones we’ve suggested.
It might be that in the future we get some skill sharing going between the older and younger members of the community, maybe something like an old and new tech exchange.
